The song, Baby Blue, was not included on the album which was released,
which many fans consider to have been a mistake. Neil Sedaka had
previously recorded a version of the song himself on his 1975 album Hungry
Years.
Lyrics:
Baby Blue, he doesn’t love you,
He only wants to break your heart;
Baby Blue, he doesn’t need you,
He’s gonna rip your dreams apart.
Baby Blue, you must forget him,
‘Cause his love don’t mean a thing;
He’s only gonna keep you
Like a puppet on a string.
Let him go, Baby
Blue,
And clear those cloudy skies;
Let him know, Baby Blue,
I’m the one who’ll dry your eyes.
Give your heart to the heart
That loves no one but you,
Let me bring a little sunshine to ya,
Baby Blue.
Baby Blue, if
you could love me,
Never would I cause you pain;
Baby Blue, if you just trust me,
I’m gonna chase away the rain.
Baby Blue, if I could reach you,
I’ll light your darkest day;
But if it’s gonna happen
You’ve gotta send him on his way.
Let him go, Baby
Blue,
And clear those cloudy skies;
Let him know, Baby Blue,
I’m the one who’ll dry your eyes.
Give your heart to the heart
Who loves no one but you,
Let me bring a little sunshine to ya,
Baby Blue.
Let him go, Baby
Blue,
And clear those cloudy skies;
Let him know, Baby Blue,
I’m the one who’ll dry your eyes.
Give your heart to the heart
Who loves no one but you,
Let me bring a little sunshine to ya,
Baby Blue.
